The adidas NMD R2 made its debut in late 2016, but adidas has decided to hold back with it a bit as they have released only a handful of colorways to this point.The upper comes crafted with tightly woven mesh and features that signature suede panel to the rear.For this release, the NMD City Sock is done in all-black with a white boost sole and blue accents.Two NMD_R1 sneakers featured an all-over print with the phrase “The Three Stripes” translated into different languages, while the City Sock was done in a tonal gray colorway.

The adidas NMD_R1 is being offered in the “OG” colorway — a nod to the originals NMD black sneaker with blue and red accents that made its debut in December. Welded three stripe branding is stamped to the sidewall in a tonal shade of blue which is mirrored to the EVA midsole plugs underfoot. Other features include a full-length white Boost midsole, black detailing on the heel, and a black rubber outsole. To complete this design, a contrasting white Ultra Boost sole sits underfoot and a yellow heel tab features to the rear.It has also responded to some Twitter users saying that select retailers will carry the sneakers.
